His Tapestry
My eyes took in the beauty
heart galloped with a sigh
His tapestry of color
aroused my natural high
Gentle breeze awakened
sleepy willow trees
along the brook, two turtles
waltzing with such ease
Tulips playing peek-a-boo
dressed in satin gowns
chipmunks chasing shadows
hopscotched, 'cross the ground
Butterflies aflutter
frogs basking in the sun
chic-a-dees 'n robins
playing, having fun
Nature's charm embraces
whispers in the breeze
squirrels frolic carefree
skeeta's taunt 'n tease
Crayola colored pansies
peeking out their heads
hummingbirds kept busy
round the flower beds
From bridge I stood there watching
trout having morning swim
reflections 'neath the surface
revealed my girlish grin
The babbling water echoed
a sacred lullaby
an oak tree with its branches
reaching for the sky
Blankets of white daisies
still moist with morning dew
behind them in the distance
a gorgeous mountain view
Scents filled up my nostrils
just lingered in the air
enchanting sounds of summer
tiptoed to my ears
Mind at rest and vacant
all worries set aside
savouring each moment
afraid to blink an eye
Capturing the beauty
soul felt an inner peace
eyes relished on the beauty
of His tapestry
