The beginning of fall
They come to mind...
My most favorite of all.
Velvety and lush
Purple and gold...
long lasting beauties
From days of old.
I remember your blooms
When I was a child,
Tempting to touch....
Letting be, all the while.
Quite an array
of colors you bloom,
From bright orange
To dark maroon.
You weather the winter
Like none other I know,
Even when your petals
Are laden with snow.
What a beautiful....
Arrangement you display,
Like lace 'round a dress,
On a warm spring day.
I love pansies.....
I always will.......
Pretty as a picture,
On my window sill.
Thank you God!
For beauties rare;
Yet those that await us,
Have so much more...
to share ! ! !
