~*~A NEW DAY~*~
My eyes flutter open to see
A bright new day for me
Full of promise grand
God knew before hand
Waiting just for me
To make the best it can be.
A new day wiped clean
Of mistakes made the day before
Not held in store
But used to humble me
Not to repeat but build upon
To face the new day coming along
With courage to be strong
Making a difference this new day.
This new day I will not fill with regret
For mistakes of the past.
I shall not forget
But will see instead
The good that was there, too
And will forge ahead
Building for tomorrow on the good in the past
That will forever last.
This new day may be a challenge for me
For life can some times be rough
But God will give me strength enough
To carry on and a blessing be
Never letting problems get me down
For God will lift me up
When my heart feels faint
Bringing hope to fill my empty cup.
Yes, there is no doubt
God will bless this new day
When I am out and about
Doing for others what they need...
Acts of kindness their spirit to feed
Not for glory and fame
But to glorify His wonderful name.
When I close my eyes at close of day
May I give thanks for those who came my way
Offering love and kindness
To bring joy and happiness
Knowing God walked by my side
All my thoughts and actions to guide
So nothing I was to do was left undone
At setting of the sun.

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel fo the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord.
