| The garden is fresh with aromas, Of wildflowers mixed, and some loners A perfect place to spend alone time Respite from the world, somewhere to unwind. The activities of your days, sometimes tend to weigh Too much for one person to relate in a phrase You need peace and quiet from the world around And from the trials of life that get you down. The butterflies flitting all over the place Seeking refreshment from the blossoms in this space. So share your alone time with nature each day And be thankful that God sent them your way. Take your favorite book and into it escape As you read of far off lands and begin to relate To beautiful mountains with valleys below And the outline of majestic scenes to show. Drift away with the nearest fluffy cloud Touch the sky with strokes of love allow. Your mind is at peace and contentment abides In the depths of your heart solace arrives. As you journey through time and space You realize the gleam that covers your face Your confidence becomes renewed And you become able to feel brand new. You know of course this is just an exercise In letting your body and mind totally rely On allowing yourself to become relaxed and free From all that had earlier needed relief. Be thankful for all that you possess And in this garden space you are allowed rest Comfort and peace are gentle on your mind The cares of the universe no longer define. God in His Infinite wisdom and grace Has afforded you a way to escape And come back with a renewed reality That things are not as bad as they seem. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then am I strong. |
