| ALL ABOUT FRIENDS |
| Some people cross your path a time or two a day, You say "Hello, I am fine, and you? And then you go away. Friends all come in different wrap, but most are there for you And at times we meet someone who is just passing through. Everyone needs friends, They become life lines. Our connection to God is linked Together to form a stronger bond. Whether it be by word or prayer We reach out to them in time. Those who say, "I do just fine without." Have a struggle in their minds. Everyday friends, and fair weather friends and those who are in charge. How about the ones that pretend That you mean so much to them. They promise if you will do this for me and it always ends in a whim. I am so glad my best friend is always there No matter where I might go. He picks me up, when I fall down Dusts me off as good as new Are you in need of a friend like Him? I will share with you, don't you know No greater friend will there ever be Not upon this earth, you will see. Our earthly friends are a blessing To have around each and every day. The true ones are here to encourage, When we seem to lose our way. I love them everyone, and each day we share, This bond as often as we can But not demanding, or commanding just here Always ready to lend a hand. I praise and thank God each and every day, That you are all my friends Even though we may never meet To touch each others face or hands. We are all God's children And he helps us all to blend. To become united for the cause To pray for every woman, child and man. So Lord help us to be humble In everything we attempt to do Keep us safe in cyberspace And may our witness make a difference And teach us not to boast, Reading you word every day, to share with those who need to hear And we all THANK YOU, for those who care! ! Written By Shirley Barr March 3, 2004 Dedicated to all my friends who encourage me every day. Proverbs 18:24 A man that hath friends must show himself friendly; and there is a friend who sticketh closer than a brother. |
