WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME?
Why did you leave me here all alone? I don't understand, I can't find home. You were always here to take care of me I've looked for hours, where can you be?
Our home was so warm and hidden away Now all I see is open fields, where we use to play. It will be dark soon, need to find me a bed Wonder where you will be tonight, where will you lay your head?
The forest is an awfully big place, I feel so small When you were here, the awful sounds didn't scare me at all. Now you're gone and I'm scared here all alone I've looked for you, I really did, where is home?
Snuggled in I finally was, and nodded off to sleep Tucked away, don't know where, out here in the deep. The huge deep forest, where I found a nice soft bed And after much apprehension, I laid down my head.
Startled ! ! What was that? I hear a big loud sound Is someone looking for me" I don't want to be found. Mother taught me to be aware, that big sounds scare "Be careful, there are men with guns, sometimes everywhere.
So I leaped deeper into the forest and took a long look Scouting out food, as the brush behind me shook. Tonight I'll have a new bed, a place to lay my head I'm all grown up now, Mom did her job, now it's mine instead.
