Puppies are so cute and playful,
So irresistable, sometimes it's shameful.
Please, Mommy, let's keep it,
We'll take good care, with us she will just fit.
Well boys, she's not like Sheba,
She's not old and getting feeble.
It will be a job to tend to her needs,
And always make sure she has feed.
When you take her out to play,
You must make sure in our yard she stays.
She's just a puppy, and will want to chew,
Will you keep her away from shoes?
To all my questions, came affirmatives galore,
So away we went with Brandy from the store.
Somewhere in the back of my mind,
I was trying to rationalize this super find.
But she is so cute and she loves the boys,
And she will replace so many toys.
Now who was I trying to convince,
The very first week, she went over the fence.
She loves the neighbors what nots and shoes,
I have quite a selection from which to choose.
Daily finding she has brought home a different treat,
To chew on and make her day complete.
So Daddy and I called a family meeting,
Now Christopher and Jason, We need to reason.
Why is Brandy not being watched by you two,
Chris says, "Jason, knows what to do........"
O.K. that sounds great, but what's your job Chris?
Well, Brandy likes to play with Jason and it's like this.
He is with her more than me, so what am I going to do?
Besides, she will grow up one day too.
So Mommy says," but this was not the plan,
Remember both of you are in demand.
She's still a baby like you used to be.
And most of your care, came from me."
"Oh, that's a great idea Mom!", Jason speaks up,
You can watch her while she's a pup.
Then WHEN SHE GROWS UP one day,
We will watch her when she plays."
