WARM AND COZY
Twas the day before Christmas Eve,
The house was all adorned with decorations
The garland, ornaments, were on the tree.
Shimmering lights twinkled in great anticipation.

The time was drawing near and despite the freeze
Joy filled the house from top to bottom.
The family will be gathered here, can't wait to see
The gifts were wrapped, in Sept, we bought 'em.

Always ready,  ahead of time is best,
Then when the family comes we can reminisce.
And all have plenty of time to rest.
Your thoughts begin to wonder, did I buy this?

Hoping that nothing was forgotten,
That all the wishes had been made and filled.
Oh settle down  "ME" I know you got 'em
So enjoy this special time and be oh so thrilled.

Snow outside our window, what a sight,
Fluffy and white and piled everywhere.
Covering all the ground, glistens in the night.
Snow and Christmas, what a lovely pair.

The Carolers will be here later on
To bring sweet songs of love
And we can join in with their singing
As we watch the stars above.

We are blessed indeed with all we have
Let's share our Christmas blessings
With those who are lonely and sad
Spread the joy of the Season's dressings.

Peace on Earth, Good will to men,
The true meaning of Christmas to give.
Jesus was born Holy unto man
And gives us the gift we need to live.

Little Johnny will have his rocking horse
And Jenny will have her bear that she chose.
Grandma will get her wish of course,
Just to be together with her family that grows.

Grandpa too, is not hard to please,
Family, love,  and the story of Jesus
And he tells it so well with ease.
Thankful for his blessings,  and for us.

A warm and cozy time it will be
With all gathered around the fire,
As the flames flicker near the twinkling tree
A time of warmth, love and desire.

What a wonderful time for us all
Gathering together for fun, food and love.
Our spirits will be ten feet tall
On a warm and cozy EVE that starts above.
