THE ELUSIVE SOUL
The elusive entity called the soul,
Is it imagination?
Or is it real, included as
a part of God's creation?
To skeptics who do not believe,
it forms a mystery.
It's something that we cannot touch,
nor can we hear or see.
Could soul be like a wisp of smoke,
a fragile shadowy wraith?
Acceptance of the soul requires
the presence of a faith.
And when God breathed immortal breath
on man to form his soul,
it then became a vital part
to make his being whole.
When finite life returns to dust,
from man the soul has gone
to live through all eternity.
And the cycle of life goes on.
There is no scientific test
that proves this to be so,
but in my heart the answer lies.
By faith alone, I know.
