| "MY ADVOCATE" I stood before a holy judge With all my sins laid bare To speak a word in my defense I could not even dare. For all knew I was guilty Of the charges that were heard I'd sinned before a Mighty God And not kept true His word. As I stood there trembling And my deeds I had to face Another came before me And He stepped into my place. "My Father please forgive her For she knew not what she'd done And every sin that's charged to her I paid for as your Son" My fallen head was lifted As I peered through blinding tears Could the judge forgive the guilty And my sins for all these years? The words I heard were tender As the judge began to speak "My child you are granted The forgiveness that you seek" I turned and grabbed my Savior As my heart swelled up in love And now He is the one I praise And speak so fondly of. For He bore upon a rugged cross My sin and took my blame And He granted me forgiveness When I humbly called His Name. Written By Cindy Blackamore (Please get permission to use this poem) |
| And Upon this came his disciples, marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her? |
