One day the sun will set no more, But all will not be void, The light that fills the sky Will come from God on high. But until that day arrives, There are two lives that strive, To fill each other with love As we have done with help from above. I introduce to you, my closet friend My blood relation she's always been, And much closer as we get older We have enjoyed life and been bolder. We have always been very close, To me she means the most. A friend, a pal, a mother too Always there when I need to boo hoo. Never have passed a cross word Love the same things, even birds. Flowers are our forte' The more, the better the array. Shopping was a favorite passtime, Looking at every item on line. Not always spending, but enjoying beauty, Of all that we touched, we loved it truly. Going on trips, was a bi yearly plan, Enjoying the most of all we can. To the mountains was our favorite trek, Getting lost and better things yet Making a U-Turn on an interstate exit, I thought I had lost her, pathetic. She was so scared as I laughed the whole time, And she was promising.....never mind. Hotel reservations we would make, Sometimes our choices were mistakes. But we always found the best of everything And alway felt like we could sing. Always happy and full of glee, Even when we were tired and pretty beat. Eating fudge, our favorite snack. Even though it was 5 dollars a smack. After a day of recreation and play, Oh NO, that was not the end of our day. We would shower and dressup, To go take in a show, what a display. Clowns so funny, you laugh till you cry, Running out of film, "Oh me, tell my why?" Walking the streets, enjoying the sights, And then back to our room to say "Goodnight." Then one night in October 2000 I had an experience that changed my life. I fell in love with the Father above, And started telling my Sis about His love. I wanted to share the new me, And somehow help her to see. There's more to life than having fun, So I introduced her to the Holy One. I can see the change in her actions, The way that she speaks and reacts. I truly hope she will make a commitment. To the One who gives so much contentment.
