Summer nights are muggy,
With only a hint of breeze.
Most nights it’s not long
Till the pale streaks you see.

Rumblings off in the distance,
Come closer with each flash.
Count down to listen for,
The first big thunder crash.

A wondrous display just above,
A cosmic creation forming in sight.
As a child I would hide away,
From the noise and light.

Stormy summer nights
Are so magical to me.
I am watching and listening
The heavenly show to see.

Bringing out the candles,
Burning a soft glow.
Waiting to see just if,
The man made lights will go.

Seldom does that happen,
But always stay prepared.
For some total darkness,
Makes them awfully scared.

‘Tis how it will be if your soul,
Is not ready the Lord to meet.
When He comes again to earth,
Total darkness for eternity.

There will be a light,
But you will not see.
But feel eternal flames
For in hell you will be.

Unlike a stormy night,
That wanes in and out,
T’will be there for all time,
That’s what sins about.

So come and let sin take flight,
It’s simple as can be.
Be like a stormy summer night,
Come into His presence and see.

Let yourself be known,
And ask for His forgiveness,
Let all your sins be gone
And feel His light and peace.

Then as morning dawns,
The sun rises above the clouds,
A beautiful rainbow appears,
Gone are fears and doubts.

Psalms 148:  1 ~ 4
Praise ye the Lord, Praise ye the Lord
from the heavens; Praise Him in the
heights.
Praise ye Him, all His angels;
Praise ye Him, all His hosts.
Praise ye Him, sun and moon;
Praise Him, all ye stars of light.
Praise Him, ye heavens, and ye
waters that be above the heavens.
