Thank you Lord,
For the gift of this day.
Tho’ pained with deep sorrow
You took it away.
And in place of dark clouds,
The sun has shone through
I give all the praise,
And the Glory to you.
You’ve given to me
Yet another chance,
The joy has returned
It’s now time to dance.
I sing to you Praises
All the day long,
From a merry heart
A cheerful song.
Lord God I tried
To do it alone,
When will I learn
It cannot be done.
Without Your Strength
And Your Presence each day,
I’m like a lost lamb
Whose again gone astray.
I strive all in vain
So sad and so weary.
For thinking I’d do it
All on my own.
The lesson I’ve learnt
From this trial and sorrow,
I lift up to You
For a brand new tomorrow.
