| What Happens to Our Prayers? What happens to prayers we send, Do they just go out into space? Do they really do a lot of good, If we humbly send them with Grace? Why do we keep sending them, Did your faith go with the prayer? Is God really listening up there, And does He really care? I have the answer for you friend, God walks with me every day. He is my comfort, my best friend, And will always lead the way. I have seen Him answer prayer, So many times in the past. And for those who love the Lord, The results will always last. But selfish prayers do no good, God's will we must expect. If God says no, remember that, Our Lord we must respect. ~ Ruby Ketron ~ Copyright 2005 What Do We Have Without Prayer? What do we have if we don't have prayer? How could we go through life on a dare? Who will comfort us and keep us afloat? Like we were in an ocean, without a boat. There are so many ugly things out there, So many people who just don't care. Temptation, like sharks always turning up, With nobody to share our bitter cup. But when we go to God in Prayer, He will sympathize, go with us everywhere. He will pull us through, won't let us sink, Make life more worth while, don't you think? How can anyone lose a child or a mate, With no assurance of what is in wait? Not knowing that they will ever again meet, Are now safe with God, at His Holy Feet. When together again, in Heaven above, Only happiness there and abundant love. I could not endure, if this was not true, God is my hope, will do the same for you. ~ Ruby Ketron ~ Copyright 2005 What is A Church? A church is merely a building, Where people can worship God. It has a roof, walls and pews, Organ and pulpit, it is God's pod. It is the people, who make it work. God's Word they must try to spread. They all need to pull together, Not approach it like they're dead. It draws us together, as one body. To worship God and pray. We learn more about our Savior, Sometimes, we even play. The building keeps us dry and warm, God is the main focus here. It is a symbol of our faith, our belief, We know God is always near. Buildings will rot and fade away, Or be used in other ways. But God is constant, always ours, There to sooth all of our dismays. ~ Ruby Ketron ~ Copyright 2004 (Do not use Ruby's poetry without permission) John 3:15 ~ That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. |
