| POETRY BY CINDY BLACKAMORE |
| THE VALLEY'S ROAD I've been in a valley The deepest I've known The purpose I walked it Has yet to be shown. It robbed all my faith And swallowed me up Great fear and deep anger It caused to erupt. Such evil within me I'd not known was there I yelled at my Savior And said He's not fair. But now as I stand here Upon holy ground Of guilt and God's judgement I don't hear a sound. The purpose of Jesus He paid on the cross Has cancelled my failure My sin and my loss. Bowing before him My tears on his feet He reaches to lift me Again our eyes meet. And what is the picture That my eyes behold? A love that is boundless And purer than gold. The lesson I've learned Is clear now to me That valleys are nothing But straight roads to Thee. Cindy Blackamore August 12, 1994 SONG OF THE VALLEY A song of the valley An anthem of praise Born first out of darkness But sung on bright days. For deep in the valley Are treasures to glean We find in the shadows What faith really means. The mountains we yearn for Are out of our reach For here He has called us To train and to teach. The valley is deeper And darker and cold Than I had imagined Or ever been told. But someday I'II exit The valley's dark door And then I will know What I knew not before. Then praise that is sweeter To him will belong For none can compare With the valley's love song ! Cindy Blackamore May 6, 1995 "IN HIM" All my trust in Him to save me All my faith on Him alone No one else to help or heal me All my hope before His throne. May my life be but a mirror Which reflects not self or me May my life reflect His presence May His heart be what they see As I seek to bring Him pleasure Striving with my life and limb May my work be not the measure But my faith in only Him.
