The sea in my state covers the Atlantic It's mighty rushing waves can be frantic. It's beauty is quite different from the Pacific, Let me see if I can be specific.
The waters aren't as blue as the westside, But it is still beautiful especially at high tide. All kinds of shell fish wash a shore, And sea gulls fly wishing for more.
The cool breeze and the rising sun, Bring forth another day of wonderful fun. The waters glisten with the shining rays, The endless view full of haze.
In my younger days I loved to play, On the sandy beach and out amongst the waves. Listening to the sounds from miles around, Of crashing surf inward bound.
When the waves raged high, The surfers would run out and dive. Jump on on their boards, Oh what a rush to the many hordes.
Always lots of parents with children in tow, Digging in the sand building quite a show. From forts to castles on display, Later the surf would come and wash them away.
Now that I am older I just enjoy the view, Of watching the children and surfers too. Making sure my skin is protected from the sun, Cause at my age, sunburn is no fun.
Listening to the thunderous sounds, As the majestic waves, come crashing down. I am proud of the beauty it holds, And the accolades that history unfolds.
Although she is notorius for yearly storms, The noreasters and where hurricanes form. She is still one pride of North Carolina you see, Along with many others, is where I love to be.

Genesis 1: 10
And God called the dry land Earth;
and the gathering together of the waters
called he Seas: and God saw that it
was good.
