The day was filled with sunshine,
It's light shimmered on the trees.
The path was lined with offcasts
Of dried and crumpled leaves.

Ahead was a gated entrance,
And the path narrowed inside.
Just wide enough for a car,
Of a pretty small size.

Tucked away down this lane,
Was an obstrusive building
Sitting upon a hillside,
That overlooks rolling hills.

The forest had disappeared,
Behind me as I walked.
As if it wasn't really there,
No, not really there at all.

Getting closer still I saw,
It becoming bigger to me.
A magnificent mansion,
Is what it appeared to be.

Ladies dressed in fancy attire,
Children laughing at play.
I have always desired,
To live in this time and way.

The scene was so real,
Yet, I knew I couldn't be.
How did I find this place,
What has happened to me.

My answers soon came,
As the sunlight caught my eye.
Alas, it was morning,
I had dreamed it in the night.

My elusive walk down a lane,
That led to another time.
Where life was very regal,
But still out of reach was I.

Revelations 21: 18 ~ And the building
of the wall of it was jasper; and the city
was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
