| MORE PRECIOUS THAN JEWELS |
| Jewels come shiny, some come flat, Some are transparent, some opaque. There are those with a price that's fat, And even some that are at a lower rate. Some are blue, and some are red, Multicolored stones in all arrays. If you are hungry, you can't be fed, If you ask a question, they can't say. They are just objects of beauty... And I guess to some they mean more. But I'd rather have REAL beauty..friends And with them I have really scored. She was introduced into my life, A couple of years back. At first so reserved and quiet, But those days derailed the tracks. She is as fun as a speckled puppy, And sweet as she can be. At first I thought her a young yuppy, But boy did she fool me. Young she is, especially at heart, Always got a comeback to give. She's quite a character and very smart, And she knows just how to live. She has had her heartaches and tears, And has lived life with gusto undaughted. She keeps me busy, I never fear, Of becoming bored or being halted. The email zips in with yet another prose, This sweetheart can write up a storm. She is always alert and on her toes, And I'm searching for all to adorn. But I can't imagine a day without her, She has prayed for me so many times. I have never heard a complaint either, She always says," I'm doing fine." Just a couple more verses will not cover, The blessings this lady bestows. On every friend of her list, I've discovered, Her heart's as big as IOWA, that's her abode. Now once in a while she takes a trip, And will stay for a week or two. But she always stays in touch a bit, And sends good wishes to you. Thank you dear friend for all you've done, To brighten my life with your love. For everything you send, I'm happy when it comes. And so my prayer for you is blessings from above.
