| ~ MARY'S GOODBYE ~ Oh the day had come too soon Since the day she bore Him, "No Room" Is what she and Joseph were told The night He came, not that long ago ! Do you think Mary had those thoughts On the day HE gave His life on the Cross? Did she really understand That she never really owned this man? Do you think she shed bitter tears, As He grew older, did she have fears? Why would God give and take away, Did she really understand that day? She was so proud of Him and His cause, Even though He would go beyond her call. When in the temple He stayed behind, To listen and learn, and did not mind. Do you think she scolded Him as a child, For not staying with her all the while? Or did she know that this was the way, That He would be all of His days. He worked with Joseph carving wood Until he had grown, and fully understood. His Heavenly Father let Him know, That to all of mankind, His love to show. So about His Father's business he did go, Spreading the word, salvations plan to show. As He went along He met many men, And invited them to go and learn with Him. About three years went by, and it was time For HIs purpose of living, to mankind. The Father's plan was to become so real, And upon a cross He would die on that hill. Mary knew that time was drawing nigh When she would tell Jesus Goodbye, But what she didn't know, would be a thrill That He would arise and again LIVE ! ! But she knew there was a reason for this, And she was happy and thrilled with bliss. By now she fully understood the whys, Of the reason He had to brutally die. She knew He was leaving her once again, And to His Heavenly Father would ascend. He left the gift, worth more than gold, Eternal life, salvation, for all lost souls. So once again she said goodbye, But with happy tears this time, and a sigh. She knew she would live with Him one day, And never more, have to go away! ! ! And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. |
