Holly berries, red and round
On prickly branches can be found.
Waiting there for you to break;
Take them home and decorate.
Evergreen sprigs of cedar and pine,
Make your house just smell divine.
Lay them on the fireplace mantle
Fragrance, color with beauty to behold.
Christmas time will soon be here
What a joyful time of year.
Choirs singing Praises to our Lord,
Bells ringing, melodious chords.
Our hearts are happy it’s the yuletide,
Gather friends and family inside.
Raising our voices in joyful strains,
Glad tidings to earth and to man.
Strings of colored lights hanging on the tree
Shiny gold balls and garland there to see.
Ribbons and presents placed all around,
Waiting there for all to be found.
Every year we celebrate the birth of the King,
The one whom God sent to do amazing things.
Precious jewels, incense, gifts from the heart,
Reading the Christmas story, each word to impart.
