GAMES CHILDREN PLAY

Doodle bug, doodle bug, are you there?
Come on out, we're going somewhere.

Jumping rope was so much fun
Until time would come for your turn.

Playing hopscotch was a tricky game
Hoppin on one foot to make it down the lane

Hide and seek was lots of fun too
Until the turn to find, got back to you.

Spin the bottle was my kind of game
Especially when the it would stop on your favorite name.

Ring around the roses, kind of immature by now,
But we would always play and make it fun somehow.

The games children play are quite different these days,
No more innocent games of fun, games today, you have to pay.

Game rooms full of machines to take your money fast
And it always takes longer to earn the quarter, than it lasts.

Video games, virtual reality all filled with meanness today
How did this world get to thie place?  Why can't we play?

The cute little fun games, so innocent and sweet
Games that would cause mischief, but not deceit.

I pray the christian young people of this day and time
Will help influence those involved and try to change their minds.

There are better ways for them to spend their time and money
