| FRIENDSHIP ADVENTURE It started oh some years back, When first I met this friend. It seemed at first she would pull back But at last she began to give in. The things of family and heart We have shared without denial. Although at times the enemy, Seemed to give us trials. We overcome and still hold fast To this friendship so dear to us. The time has gone by, yet we last, Above the hassles and fuss. I purposed in my heart to meet, And just not by cyberspace. Her sweet voice and giving heart Just draws me to her face to face. God I do believe did intercede, And brought us together as friends. And so He provided the way for me, To take her hand before life ends. The arrangements have been made, The flight through space has been set. I will fly to California just to see, The dearest friend, I’ve ever met. My nerves are frazzled with excitement, My anticipation is over the top. Thank God for allowing me to go, The joyful love will never stop. What fun it is going to be, When I come through the arrival gate, And there she will be waiting for me, “There’s MY SHY”, I’ll hear her say. So if you haven’t guessed by now My adventure is off to see, My bestest friend MELVA, But she is “SIGGY” to me. So like two young schools girls, We plan to talk for days and days, And then go on shopping sprees, Spend our time in so many ways. So wish us well, and we will you Because you are our friends as well, Keep us in your prayers and thoughts, And we’ll be doing swell! !
