MY DREAMS
Can one relate to dreams
The movie in your mind?
It comes very often it seems
And is not always the pleasant kind.
Some say they come from thoughts
That have filled up your days,
Mine are often strangely brought
Unrelated in any way.
Restless nights of repeated scenes
Sometimes will re-appear....
Is this some message trying to get through.
Or does it just seem to be clear?
I always dream everytime I sleep
Whether it be day or night.
A clear storyline, sometimes will sweep
And other times it's just a confusing plight.
Unfamiliar faces and places, yet somehow real
They clutter my mind and my thoughts.
Why won't they give a rest, I appeal?
One full night of unrequited themes and naught.
Sleep, sweet, serene and deep,
What a blessing it would be to acheive.
Rest from racing thoughts to reap,
A long and peaceful night of relief.
