TO DREAM OR RELAX?
TO SLEEP PERHAPS TO DREAM
TO DREAM PERHAPS TO LEARN.
TO LEARN PERHAPS TO SCHEME
TO SCHEME PERHAPS TO SPURN.
WHAT IS SLEEP ANYWAY,
A WASTED TIME OF ENDLESS RESTLESSNESS.
A FUTILE ATTEMPT AT REJUVENATION,
THAT LEAVES ME WITH MORE ANTICIPATION.
PERHAPS, YES, PERHAPS WE ALL DREAM,
WE MAY NOT REMEMBER OR REFLECT.
BUT THE DREAMS COME ALONG WITH SLEEP,
WHY CAN'T I JUST REJECT.
I DON'T NEED DREAMS TO REMIND ME,
OF MEMORIES I'D RATHER LEAVE.
EVEN THOUGH THEY DON'T RELATE
PLEASE LORD, GIVE A REPRIEVE.
WHAT CAUSES THEM TO INVADE OUR MINDS,
AND STEAL OUR REST AWAY.
WHY CAN'T THEY WAIT TO REMIND ME
WHILE IT IS STILL DAY.
ALAS, TO DREAM IS TO RELIVE,
A FANTASY OR COULD IT BE REAL?
MAY I EXPOUND ON YOU MY NEED,
TO BE FREE OF DREAMS, IS IT A DEAL?

I know if you visit my websites, you may notice that I write about dreams quite often. I
cannot remember a time in my life that I did not dream, everytime I fall asleep. Whether it be during my regular sleeping hours, which are hardly regular..*S*.. or if I just doze off while sitting in a chair reading or watching T.V.
I have often researched this occurence that happens to quite a lot of people in the world, but have come up with nothing that gives me peace of mind on the subject. My dreams are often disturbing and cause me to have very
restless sleep, so most times I never awake feeling like I have been to sleep, but off in some land far away or some corner of my mind that hides it's existence until my eyes close in sleep.
The music I chose for this page is classical, which, mostly I really love, especially piano. But this piece sounds like a typical night or day for me while I am sleeping. It becomes very chaotic for a while and then suddenly I drift along like on an ocean wave being lulled into a peaceful sleep, only to resume the chaos shortly. There are even times that I can wake up during a dream, go back to sleep and pick up where it left off.
I just felt like sharing this part of me with you, as I share many parts of my life with you in my poetry. If you can relate and feel impressed to email me, please do. It will be interesting to hear other's viewpoints.
