Bright yellow mums,
Shades of plum
Grace my veranda
In beautiful splendor.
Creations of nature
Are splendid features
Of early fall
That I recall
Big orange pumpkins
And big brown acorns
Bunched with hay
Make a festive display
Butternut squash, Indian corn
Placed in a basket adorned
With colored leaves,
Yellow daisies with green sleeves.
All festive colors of fall
Have overcome us all
Beauty and glory divine
All in creation's design.
Makes you want to sing
Of all that beauty brings
To every girl and boy
An exciting sense of joy.
The earth laughs within
And you hear the breezes sing
Happy Fall is here at last
Creation has done the task!
