| THE COTTAGE PATH A little English cottage Nestled in a garden fair Has always been a dream To be able to visit there. The quaintness of it's beauty In scenes of my mind Create a sense of dew drops Misting on the vines. To reach this little cottage A foot bridge is there That spans the rippling stream With whispers in the air. Oh what a beautiful view Such a serene and peaceful site God's creation amplified Brings my heart such delight. Wisteria hanging from the trees The aroma so divine The cottage built with such love That will be there through time. I have friends who live near This wonder to behold If I could only travel there Not just in mind but soul. So up this cottage path I would like to take a walk, And cross over the little bridge, And meet my friends and talk. But, alas, I will keep this vision Forever in my thoughts The chance of ever being there Is just a dream for naught.
