| A TIME TO REST In Autumn I peer out the south window from my room What do I see, pretty mums, many colors in bloom Behind them are the sunflowers so yellow and bright Feeding the birds before they journey on their flight This is the time of year when summer is near its close When all God's nature on earth is getting ready to doze. The trees in their splendor are starting to change their color Each leaf is turning from green; not one is like the other. Red, orange, brown, yellow, rust, every color is so true A beautiful site against the mountains and sky so blue No artist on earth, in a painting, can match this splendor For no one can paint a picture like this, but God's nature All the baby birds have grown and flown their nest God is getting ready for nature to take its peaceful rest Up in the sky I see the flocks of birds flying away To the south where there is a warmer, sunnier day As the wind picks up and start getting bitter and cold Remember to bundle up and onto your hat; do hold Bears are filling their tummies with food; they are in hurry In dens they to to sleep and bear their young without a worry Before some of us know it, winter will be here upon us all In northern places the snowflakes will begin to gracefully fall God made winter for the earth to sleep and take a rest Again in the spring, nature will come alive, looking her best Don't be sad when you see the flowers gone and trees bare God is doing his work so we can again enjoy them next year. | Thank you Angelamaria, for allowing me to share your beautiful Autumn poem with my many friends. I would like to take this opportunity to tell everyone about this lovely lady. She takes the time out of her busy days to lead a group of Christian ladies in a very special group, which I am proud to be a member. SERVING OUR SAVIOR has been established for many years, I myself have been a member since Jan, 2003, and have been so blessed by this group of dedicated Christian prayer warriors and witnesses for Christ our Savior.
