Flowers, ornate objects, miniature ponds and other things Out every window is a botanical scene, HGTV's # 1 dream Even in one dark corner of the view, is an organic supply To feed and nourish from seeds until little seedlings are alive.
Sounds like a public garden vista for visitors to view, But actually what I am describing, belongs to Mrs. Hughes. The greenest thumb of anyone I know, every year a beautiful show. She lives on the southeast coast where the balmy breezes blow.
The envy of the neighborhood is her claim to fame And everyone on the street knows her by name. Beautiful hues of the rainbow surround her abode And more are added every year, more beautiful to behold.
Albums of flower bouquets line my bookcase at home There are angels nestled between the blooms and butterflies galore. Little frogs and fairies and reflections of beauty above A little paradise of her own, made by her hands with love.
This wonderful creative gardener is my sister you see And she has always meant the world to me. Eleven years my senior, but not in spirit at all Cause when we get together, we have a ball.
We live apart, by miles and miles in both Carolinas, north and south Our visits have become fewer now, because we both are giving out. And home sweet home is where we both love to stay most of all But the love we have for one another, always lasts and never grows small.
