IS ARMAGEDDON NEAR?
While carnage and death on a worldwide stage
continue creation of fear;
When deceitful acts are manifest,
Is Armageddon near?
When hurricane winds and mountainous waves
and rolling tsunamis appear,
When widening cracks of earth spew fire
Is Armageddon near?
When fires engulf the countryside
the earth will feel the sear
When hatred and depression rage,
Is Armageddon here?
When the bombs, the water and fires subside,
and the birds once more appear.
When the waves are still and the hills are quiet,
Armageddon’s not yet here.
Perhaps there still is hope for Man.
Will there be another chance?
Is enough space left in the ugly debris
for children to frolic and dance?
The love of God with eternal hope
is an everlasting force,
always nearby to comfort Man
If he accepts the source.
